Cherry Pitter Junior - 5 at a Time

Sweet dark Washington cherries. This machine did not work well with them. Pitting 5 at a time bent arms and the thin side blades connected to the main arms. I had to realign (bend back straight) several times. 3 cherries are the max that my machine will do reliably without leaving some pits in the pitted cherries. Speaking of pits, I had to cover the front where the pits are ejected into the catch tub, some pits would shoot out on to the floor. 5 cherries are not doable with the machine I have. Operator error? Possible. Is this designed for one type of cherry? For the price paid, it's not a bad piece of equipment. for now I'll take pitting 3 cherries at a time over 1.

This is an exceptionally well made & designed cherry pitting machine. Very quick & smooth to operate! It’s super easy to clean too. I definitely would recommend buying it to anyone has a need to pit cherries without any hassle or extra work.

I used the Cherry Pitter Junior to remove the pits on about 15 pounds of black cherries and it worked very well. Cleaning it up after using it was also very easy. I look forward to using it much, much more again next cherry season.

I am very pleased with this new found tool. There was a bit of a learning curve. The small claws needed to be aligned with the corresponding holes in the hard rubber, sometimes getting stuck and bending. It only missed a few pits. The pits often bounced off the chute and onto the floor until the pits built up then only occasionally. Even with these issues, I highly recommend this product as it still saved a ton of time. Prior to this purchase I was given an antique cherry pitter and it just mangled the cherries and the pits would get stuck, no comparison.
