Description
The stainless steel Deluxe Cherry Pitter pits 5 cherries in a single pull of the handle. The pitted cherries fall into to the stainless steel drawer. Place a bowl or container under the pitter to catch the discarded pits. Get your fresh cherries ready for your pies, crisps, cobbler, ice cream, jellies and jams. Works pretty good for sweet cherries- ok for smaller/softer pie cherries. The pits mostly hit the floor, so I put a large rubber band around the top and hung a couple plastic food bag “curtains from it to keep pits and juice in. I put machine on stainless, sided, cookie sheet. I had a Pyrex rectangular dish that fit in the pitted cherry drawer to catch juice.
The rubber trays hold the small pie cherries to be putted, but the “push off” openings are much larger than the pitted pie cherry, so the cherries get pulled into the openings. If there were a screen to go over it, that would help.
Double sided for double pitting is great
