Making slaw with this is great, it goes through heads quickly and does a great job. These folks make a quality product.
There are two items that could be better. The first is cleaning. Be prepared to spend a considerable time cleaning out the bits of cabbage that get jammed between the blades and the cylinder body.
The second issue is one that can be fixed. As another reviewer mentioned, the cabbage plunger will catch on the cutting blades and cause nicks, especially on the ends. Two things will prevent this. One is to grind a slight bevel on the front edge of the cabbage plunger plate, especially on the ends. The other is to add washers to the bolted connection between the cabbage plunger plate and the cabbage plunger handle. This will allow you to tighten this connection so that the cabbage plunger plate does not wobble so much and contact the cutting blades.
If you make a lot of kraut this is probably worth the money.
