Ground Turmeric

Ground Turmeric powder is made from a root in the ginger family and is used to add both color and flavor to most dishes when cooking. Turmeric powder is a key ingredient in most curry blends and curry pastes, as well as masalas. Ground Turmeric has a slightly bitter taste, but a pepper-like aroma. It adds color to rice much like saffron and is good in seafood, chicken and relishes. You can also add a dash to creamed eggs while cooking.
